Since 1971, JCS has been organising the Japanese Cultural Festival here with the aim of providing an opportunity for Singaporeans to understand and experience the richness and uniqueness of Japanese culture, activities and food heritage. During the festival, JCS showcases its various cultural activities and invites related organisations such as Nanyang Primary School and Japanese primary schools in Singapore to put up joint performances.

The Japanese Cultural Festival has always been the main highlight of the calendar, and it attracts a sizeable participation and support from the general public, Japanese expatriates and their families, school pupils and members of various Japan-related organisations.

This year, the festival was held in conjunction with JCS 60th Anniversary celebration in September 2024.
